Award-Monmouth-County 20052005
HGC won the 2005 Volunteer Service Award from the Monmouth County Board of Recreation Commissioners. Highlands Recreation Department Director, Tim Hill submitted an application nominating the HGC for the award. The application noted the merit of the projects the Club completed throughout the community, including planting and maintaining Ederle Park and Huddy Park, and planting the Kavookjian Field entrance, Bay Avenue curb planters, the Children's Garden at the community center, Veteran's Park and Cornwall Square. The Commissioners cited the partnership between volunteers, the business community, and local government as key to our distinction. HGC's 2005 Volunteer Service Award is on display in the Borough Hall notice board, main hallway.

Award-Mayor 2005On April 20, 2005 Highlands Mayor Rick O'Neil presented the HGC with a plaque recognizing our community service at the city council meeting at Borough Hall. The HGC deeply appreciates the recognition of our volunteer service for Highlands.
