The Certified Clam Corporation is owned by 59 shareholders which are Clammer’s. All clamming is done from our local waters here in Highlands. The clams are purified in our local James T White Depuration plant which is one of three depuration plants in the United States. All clams go through a purification process which makes them sand free and bacteria free. Certified Clam Corp manages the Baymen’s Fisherman Fund which is a non-profit corporation that raises funds for the families of clammers that have lost their lives at sea or families that are in need. All proceeds from the CERTIFIED CLAM’s booth at the Clam Festival go to the Baymen’s fund.
